It was one of those days where a nap after breakfast, that type of nap where you say you are going to get in bed and watch a movie but know all too well that you are going to be passed out within 15 minutes,was mandatory. The snow came late, but it didn’t matter as it did exactly what it was supposed to do: grant an off day. So he and she meander back towards the room and slip into the sheets they got from that one place by the coffee shop they love. They scroll, looking for the right first viewing. They agree, and the air grows still, and their anxieties and tensions relent for the respite of a day that only comes given exact atmospheric conditions.

Sleeping in on a snow day, with the person you sleep next to, was the one thing he and she needed and wanted and achieved during the quiet moment. The credits played and the wind howled and their breathes echoed across the other’s skin.

With each passing second they raced toward a sublime serenity that provided a peace oversought in the world. And, for a moment, everything was everything.
